“Warmth, texture, and intention — thoughtfully designed for the way you live.”
Like many stories, you never truly know where a path will lead until you take those first few steps. Mine began in the spring of 2021, when I purchased my first fixer-upper. I always imagined it would be a lot of work—I watched all those HGTV shows 😉 —but until you’re knee-deep in it, you don’t really know what to expect. Needless to say, when I wasn’t focused on my job, I poured all of my remaining energy into that renovation. When it was finally complete, I staged the home for sale… and it sold in just five days.
It’s funny how things come full circle. I originally planned to earn a degree in interior design, but when the program became impacted, I shifted gears and pursued multimedia design instead. After graduating, I spent seven years as a web designer before moving into technology program management—a career I enjoyed for the next 18 years. And in a milestone year, after a 25-year journey in tech, I made a decision that had been on my heart for a long time—to step into the work that inspired me most. Today, I’m grateful to spend my days doing what I love. Every choice, detail, and challenge takes me down a creative path—one that shapes the way we feel in our homes.
Looking back, my fixer-upper was far from easy, but it sparked the idea for Modern Willow Staging & Design—a place where creativity, design, and heart come together to turn houses into homes that feel warm, welcoming, and unforgettable.
Today, I carry that same philosophy into every project—whether preparing a property for sale or decorating a home to reflect the people who live there. To me, it’s more than design; it’s about creating an experience that feels like home the moment you walk in.
When I’m not creating beautiful spaces, you’ll likely find me outdoors—hiking, walking my dog, spending time in the mountains, or relaxing on a cozy patio with friends and family. These simple joys keep me grounded and inspire the natural, welcoming aesthetic that defines Modern Willow’s designs.
With gratitude,
